IN-DEPTH PERSPECTIVE

If you’ve purchased any of my books and discovered something thought provoking, mind-blowing or even that of constructive criticism, please let’s create an open dialogue for greater communication. Remember, we have a developing ongoing spiritual relationship/responsibility regarding a higher development of mind, body and spirit. Let’s be honest, most books are not read in their entirety, not to mention fully understood prior to being expedited to a shelf as room decor. Please understand my books were written for a completely different purpose. In other words not just to make a sale! If you’ve purchased out of politeness, friendship or the professionalism of just wanting to add to your collection of autographed literary works by authors, thank you but know there’s more in your hands than you realize. I’m not an author struggling or desperately  writing to become successful, I’ve already reached a level of success God has ordained upon my life. Therefore I write in the glory of God’s purpose for my life’s work (said in total humbleness)!

In other words I’m writing out of the pleasure of committed anointment, not under stress, nor financial need or the obligation of a deadline. Again, I’m not soliciting sales for the continuation of a lavish lifestyle or the hope thereof. I didn’t go out and purchase a thousand dollar suit, an expensive watch or dawn pictures of the lifestyle of the rich and famous set behind me to captivate your attention. Although countless studies have shown this to work time and time again! Bait and click models tempting buyers to indulge in “quick fixes, a magic pill or the next best thing,” as opposed to sowing a meaningful seed, which manifest future blessing of abundance, health and happiness honestly is becoming more cumbersome to share. In total transparency, I know this goes against the entrepreneurial mindset but truthfully, being an author doesn’t warrant a billionaire lifestyle (it’s a rarity if so) but if done right, it solidifies the continuation of purposed driven inspiration for future importance.

When I write, It’s not out of idolatry, celebratory ego or validation of importance but rather, I write for the legacy of my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and future generations – not just my own! In this I encourage you as well to read, discern, preserve and seek out good spiritual bible based literature for friends, family or future potentials within and around your environment.

Please collect as many books on truth and positive understandings within the living word of God as you possibly can, then one day compare them to future publications. You’ll be uncomfortably amazed how history will change meanings, definitions and teachings towards our future children/generations; 14264092_1227252730641896_3534108924108081641_nyou know the ones that’ll be taking care of us AND the continuation of life.

Again, I’m writing to share wisdom, life experiences and love within others looking for blessed-tangible answers, regarding the difficulties in life by way of  leadership by example. As such, I offer a call to action by establishing dialogue as we  journey through life’s overall purposes.

Lastly, whenever the book calls you to read through the chapters, remember you can call or contact me and share, discuss or confirm that “we are as one” within the unfathomable wisdom of the Holy Spirit. God bless, see you within the pages and enjoy this journey!

 Footprints of the Mind

Mine your steps upon the placement of your mind,

mine what matters most, least madness lurks quietly behind.

Meticulously placed matters of mind, may yield miracles most find sublime,

but mine your own mind most carefully, never know what you may find.

A myriad of miracles may await your minds’ delight,

but remember minds are minefields, moreover mysteriously alike.

Mere matters of manners most people may see,

but only matters of the mind may reveal what’s hidden in thee.

Mastery of mind manifest miracles most divine,

stand guard at yours, least your dreams found less defined.

Many memories murmur, mysteriously in the meekness of mind,

moments matter most when moments are made to remind.

Miracles, miracles, miracles, most methodically awaits,

believe in your miracles, masterfully placed for mercies sake.

Missed miracles like mist may most often fade away,

but most miracles like mist, will rise again someday.

Most aspire to be successful, in a minefield of needs,

but money over mindfulness, mines madness indeed.

Moreover mined your minds’ mine in the mysticism of the blind,

may  you  find  the  hidden  footprints,  as  I  found  in  the  eye of  mine.

WHY I WRITE

Poem from GOD’S GREATEST CREATION: WOMAN

by Reginald O’Neal Gibson

WHY I WRITE

“I write because I’m a reflection of you and the beauty from within.

I write because It’s my legacy, my purpose, fanned by God’s given wind.

Set sail upon troubled waters in the darkest of night,

unto sunrise praise thee oh lord as our spirits unite.

From the sigh of his nostrils to the air that we breathe,

births my calling to fulfill the covenant of life; rooted deeply of blessed seed.

I write because it’s healing for all that journey the storm of this path,

a born again sinner in reverence of God’s mighty wrath.

More so into heaven, within the spirit I awake,

praised last words upon rest; was “my soul to take.”

I write to share wisdom, within this truth I shall remain,

cultivated by hands of praise, stretched high in Jesus name.

I write because I love you, I write because I’m free.

I write because I’m all that is you, as you are a reflection

of Christ within me.”

“We are as one, within the unfathomable wisdom of the Holy Spirit.”

A LETTER TO MOM

I love, love, love my mother! When she came to see me at the Dayton Book Expo, she noticed my banner’s website address zoeylifesite.com; she immediately smiled. She got it! The meaning of the site/word. “ZOEY” in biblical reference as well as the greek terminology. From the scripture John 10:10 and many other passages throughout the bible, the word zoe was replaced/translated to be read as life.

Only thing is many people have forgotten or never really figured out what life is truly about. With this, ultimately passing through this spiritual journey upon the earth; blinded by human distractions. If we’d understood the reason for our lives, we’d be much better off, as opposed to defaulting towards the temporary vices of mental and physical escape. This is why I love to write in analogies; “for in this, is to nurture the seed of positive manifestation over the lands”( GOD’S GREATEST GIFT: WOMAN).

Moreover, I’ve found in my humbled experience, sharing certain answers not only puts a bullseye on your back but causes doubt, judgment and unnecessary barriers created between the sharer and receiver. This is why I’ve chosen to live, lead and love by blessed example, furthermore leading to the unmistakable, witnessed and confirmed by the results of my actions.

Although we do have a fallback in the form of cultural norms, various teachers and certain leaders, a good majority of the terms meanings are found in dictionaries or worse yet online, but what does that mean? If change has occurred in the form of taken misunderstanding, calque or translation, how do we derive true meaning from a word without root?

That’s the equivalent of your childhood picture being shown in a slideshow at your wedding. The picture doesn’t truly tell anything about you, your past, present or future purposes. It’s just an image. No different than the “image” of the life we perceive today. The image of money, power and respect, the idea of only having one life to live, so we better live it up as much as we can, while we can. Know that the perceptions of this picture means little to nothing, without the living example of a fulfilled purpose in action, to be witnessed, acknowledged and upheld, as tangible evidence of who we say we are.

So, if we solely go by the definition of a word given such as life, we’ve missed not only the true meaning but the actual purpose. Don’t believe me? Look up the word life for yourself and ponder if it guides or provides you with anything of true understanding. The best you’ll get is a mental picture. It might as well be a vivid photograph of a cold glass of water, filled to the rim with ice, frozen in time as the condensation appears to slowly creep down over its edge.

The reality is, it’s just a picture of a glass of water, the hard truth is your stuck in the heat of the desert, practically dying of thirst.

No different than the world we live in now, blinded by the thirst for knowledge, yet being hand-fed a picture of a translated word. Only we’re stuck fanning ourselves with a image rooted in idealistic contentment, ultimately falling for the mirage within the desert of our perceived reality.

Again with this, replacing the word zoe in the bible for the word life, further persuades you away from the actual meaning, teachings and purposes. If your diligent to look up zoe, you’ll find there’s meaning behind this word life (the perfect life of God’s original intentions), not just a translation. Within this meaning you’ll find a newer understanding i.e. truth and within this truth, you’ll find your purpose as it was originally intended.

So as mentioned earlier, I love, love, love my mom and thanks to her for noticing truth within the perception of my spirit-filled intention. And before I forget, to all the mothers out there, Happy Mother’s Day!

AS I LAY; THE TRUE PURPOSE OF REST

pexels-photo-316681.jpeg

It was a rather long drawn-out day working under sinks, patching walls and rewiring light fixtures but cry out I dare not. What’s to complain about  when work is required and I’m the right man for the job. Nevertheless, the body speaks aloud when at its most vulnerable. This is the quiet moments just before falling asleep, a time most often took for granted by reviewing the stressors of the day or the fears of tomorrow. This delicate transition is when the mind slips from conscious meditation, to that of the beautiful restlessness within the subconscious. Here’s where my vision began and here, is where I’ll tell the story as I laid upon hearing the final word.

Pain, pain and even more pain screams from the neck of my body, so loud it awakens and grabs the attention of the soles of my feet, restless as they are kicking and moving about under the covers of night. What are you yelping about up there? Is it not I who takes the weight of whole and bears the burden of this temple? Why do you speak in such a manner? The neck swiftly answers. You are beneath but yet you still move about even when in rest, you’ll have no counsel here tonight, for you are of little importance for I am the seat of the head and my pain shall be heard. The soles of feet in all humbleness replies, what is the seat without the wisdom gained from the travels of my journey? I’ve weathered the storms, terrains and valleys all while carrying you as the seat upon my shoulders. You are at the will of my burden and your tears within the night, overflow my cup causing  restless under the veil peace. Did someone say shoulders? It is I the barer of burden, I listen to the bellowing between the broad of my purpose everyday without submission or complaint, why must I endure the bickering between the either of you? Am I not the strength that holds the key to the heart? Am I not the forgotten treasure taken in and released like the tides of the ocean sands giving breath to our purpose?

Now boasting with pride comes an even louder voice. Stop I say! Bellows the chest. I bare the true pain of the whole, witness now as I claim the bosom of life, no more shall I trouble with the bickering of your ignorance. Then suddenly an eerie silence befalls my temple, as the darkness creeps ever so near.  Peace be still over your restless toil a voice whispers within the void. All is of purpose, all is of oneness within the temple, yet none are truly alike. Even the softness of the cheek bears the difference between tears of joy and the pain of regret, the kiss of a child’s love or the aggression of a fools anger. Your rest is soon to come, speaks the calming voice within the void of my temple. For I am the eternal and you are but dust upon the earth.

Query not within the dawn of night the eternal says, I go for only a little while to bring healing upon the dusk of your true purpose. Now rest as I open the treasure once again,  remember not death but thankfulness upon your awakening.

*This was the night of my heart attack. It reminds me how the mind and body at times battle with indifference. Such is often the case with people complaining amongst each other, judging and attempting to communicate (per opinions only). With this often becoming distracted from our collective purposes. Point is we’ll all one day return to the dust of the earth. So again with this said, let’s remember to see each other in the blessings of our lives, as opposed to taking chances with the bickering of tomorrow. I say this in wisdom after surviving the three near-death experiences of my past. Remember this, you’ll never know upon the rest of your evening, when or if the eternal will seek thee not your temple again.

AM I UNAPPROACHABLE?

pexels-photo-792668.jpeg

I recall like it was just yesterday, raising my head high after a deep breath, finally a moment of peace, contentment and praise; thank you lord for yet another day. This, I uttered softly just prior to clocking out and going home. It was at this moment when I heard a young lady who appeared to be slightly frustrated say “excuse me, you are just so unapproachable!”

Needless to mention, I smiled in politeness and continued on my way. In total honesty, I’ve heard this and similar descriptions regarding my personality over the years, so please allow me to shed just a bit more light on the subject. Have you ever been busy, in a rush trying to accomplish a task or personal deadline? Maybe you’ve found yourself in a grocery store trying to multitask recipes for the upcoming week, attentively texting back and forth about what Redbox movie to get, while simultaneously budgeting to the best of your cognitive ability. Not to forget planning your families upcoming vacation!

Thinking back on this, were you polite to the cashier? Did you even noticed the elderly woman needing help lifting her grocery bag into her cart? Did you remember that last second verbal request not on your list but just so happened to be on the far opposite side of the store? You know that one particular item your child needed for a class project, which prompted you coming to the store in the first place, all in hope of beating the highway rush hour!

Here’s what I’m trying to say, at some point we all get deeply involved and focused on what’s needed to keep ourselves, our families and our goals intact. With this, for others currently not on the same path we mean no disrespect during our busy times but nonetheless, we that are committed must do what we can do to the best of our ability to fulfill our purpose.

So in my case, it’s not that I’m standoffish, difficult to talk to or “unapproachable,” it’s just that I’m busy as well, fulfilling God’s purpose for my existence, i.e. multitasking between jobs and my life’s work, family and legacy. What else is there but to honor life, wife and God’s calling within the strength of this temple. So for  future friends, family, coworkers and acquaintances alike, know that I am here, but as the foundation beneath your feet, the air aloft your wings and the example of a humble servant of God’s intent for my life.

So to get to know me is to nod without judgement, smile without strings attached and uphold one another with prayer, praise and respect. I am not prideful, I have no hidden agendas, nor do I think I’m better than anyone. It’s just that I’m spiritually on task, confidently focused and committed to being the best version of myself per the will of God.

With this said if we ever cross paths present or future, let me initiate a hello! I’m Reginald. Wow! You are beautifully blessed and wonderfully made in the likeness of God the almighty. It was a pleasure meeting you, thank you and may God continue to bless your journey! If my interaction was a bit swift, please forgive without judgement or scoff! Just know that I, like many others are insatiably that way while in focused mode. As far as my self, commitment is a lifestyle, so smile and nod knowing I have your best in heart. Am I unapproachable? No, not in the least but lets be honest, I’m a married man, devoted to my life’s work and intimately involved with the teachings of christ as the living word of God. What else is there? But the occasional brief interaction in passing. So again, hello! My name is Reginald.
